Congratulations to Abby Vinson, February Student Spotlight!

1. What are some experiences or lessons that you've learned during your time at BHP that you think has helped prepare you for life after graduation?

I have learned to not be afraid to dream. My passion for theatre blossomed and thrived here at BHP. It has made me realize my future is theatre. I will teach it and perform. Every time I am on stage I feel myself and at home.

2. What has been your favorite memory from your time at BHP?

Every theatre production is amazing. My favorite memory thus far is trying out for Dorothy for this year's production. I had my dog come with me as Toto and I felt like it was the best try out I'd ever performed. I wrote the monologue I tried out with. I felt so proud of myself and I knew my mom was looking down from heaven proud too. I got the role and was so happy about it.

3. What are your plans for after graduation? Do you have any aspirations you'd like to pursue or a dream job?

I plan to go to Anderson or Winthrop University to double major in Theatre and Secondary Education in Social Studies. In honor of Maureen Stevens, I want to be a history teacher and then share my love for theatre. After 5 years of working in a Title One school, I'd like to hopefully have my schooling paid off. This is where it gets good. I want to move to the big apple and pursue theatre. My dream job is to be on the hit series "Friends" reunion and the remake of "Pretty Woman". I want to be  a star in NYC because "if you can make it there, you'll make it anywhere,"
