Substitutes
Anderson School District Two is always looking for qualified substitutes to teach our children when our full-time teachers and staff have to be away from school. If you have a desire to work with children of all ages, you could be one of our substitutes and encourage you to apply. A high school diploma/GED is required to work as a substitute. Substitutes must be 21 years of age or older. If under 21, a substitute must be a college graduate.
Substitute Workshop
Attendance at a Substitute Workshop is mandatory before beginning work as a substitute in the district. Workshops are scheduled in September and January of each year. Other workshops may be scheduled as needed.
Required Paperwork
You must complete an I-9 Form and provide a one-step TB test performed within the last 12 months before beginning work as a substitute. A link to the I-9 form and a DHEC form if you need to have a TB test done are below:
A copy of your high school diploma, GED or college degree

Background Checks
A criminal background check and a check of the SC Sex Offender Registry and the National Sex Offender registry will be conducted by the Human Resources Department.
Salary
$90 per day for teachers holding a current valid South Carolina Teaching License
$75 per day for non-certified substitutes holding a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
Certified teachers on a long-term substitute assignment are paid a daily rate based on their SC Teaching License
Substitutes are paid on the 25th of each month for all days worked in the prior calendar month. (For example, all days worked in the month of September are paid on October 25th)
