
The BHP FFA / 4H Livestock Judging teams competed in the SCFFA and SC 4H Livestock Judging Contest(s) at the T. Ed Garrison Arena in Pendleton, SC.
In the FFA division, the Livestock Judging Team was crowned State Champions. Team members were Rhiley Bannister, Braelyn Campbell, Alex Barnes, and Kaleigh Brown. Kaleigh Brown, Alex Barnes, and Braelyn Campbell were recognized as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd high overall individuals in the entire contest. For their accomplishment, they will represent BHP and SCFFA at the National FFA Livestock Judging Contest in Indianapolis, IN this October.
In the 4H division, our senior team was crowned State Champions as well as the Overall High Reasons Team. Team members were Rhiley Bannister, Braelyn Campbell, Alex Barnes, Kaleigh Brown, and Jude Johns. Kaleigh Brown and Alex Barnes were recognized as the 2nd and 3rd high overall individuals in the 4H division. Additionally, Rhiley Bannister and Braelyn Campbell were recognized as the 2nd and 3rd high overall reasons givers in the entire contest. Team members finishing in the Top 4 overall contestants will get the opportunity to compete on the SC 4H Livestock Judging Team at the National 4H Livestock Judging Contest in Louisville, KY this November.
Additionally, in the junior division of the SC 4H division, Lexi Ramirez and Alivia McWhorter represented the BHP Livestock Judging Team. Lexi Ramirez was recognized as the 1st high overall individual in reasons and the entire junior division. Alivia McWhorter was recognized as the 3rd high overall individual in the entire junior division.

Belton Elementary students had their annual Dodgeball Tournament for the third nine weeks. Students who had great behavior for the quarter were allowed to participate to celebrate all of their hard work. They had a blast!




In 2021, Anderson School District Two launched its National Board Cohort. Each National Board Teacher receives a $5,000 annual state stipend. Six teachers, who received National Board Certification in 2024, were recognized during the March School Board meeting.

ASD2 is pleased to announce a new professional development initiative beginning the 2024-25 school year: a Master's Degree Cohort in partnership with Lander University. This program began in Fall 2024 with 25 teachers and participants must commit to remaining in ASD2 for three years after the completion of the program.

Recently we celebrated Montessori week at MPS. Montessori lessons for primary school focus on five key areas of study: practical life, sensorial, math, language and culture. Children learn through repetition and practice, and progress at their own pace.
