ASD2 Superintendent, Jason Johns, spoke at the Anderson County Homeless and Housing Summit yesterday to over 200 local citizens and community leaders.
This group came together to address one of the most pressing challenges facing our community: housing and homelessness in Anderson County. Despite the county's growth and prosperity, many individuals and families in our community struggle to find and maintain safe, affordable housing. For some, the situation is even more dire, as they are left without a roof over their heads.
By leveraging the knowledge and expertise in our community, Anderson County leaders and community members are able to learn best practices for addressing these challenges and begin significant progress in addressing housing and homelessness in Anderson County.

Honea Path Middle would like to recognize its Cory White Diversity Award Winner for 2023, Caleb Guest. Caleb was recently honored at a ceremony last week for receiving this award. In addition to this recognition, Caleb is an outstanding student and person, and he positively represents ASD2 and HPMS each day with his high character and work ethic.

Congratulations to ASD2 students Ava King, Caleb Guest, and Kamarion Glenn for winning the Cory White Diversity Award. These students received their award during a recognition dinner last night. We are so proud of these students!
Wright Elementary students enjoyed a special visit from author Kevin Lovegreen on Monday. Thank you to WebbCraft Family Foundation for providing this awesome opportunity for our students!
To celebrate all of the amazing growth this year on their iReady diagnostic, Belton Elementary students were able to have a chance to dunk faculty members!!! They seem to have enjoyed this a little too much!
