BMS is so grateful for their teachers and staff that go above and beyond to show their students support! During Field Day, BMS teachers and staff dressed up to show school spirit and cheered on the students. Students at BMS know how loved and supported they are. We are so fortunate to have some of the very best at BMS!


ASD2 and BHP were honored to host the Anderson County Special Olympics today. These athletes are all champions! 🏆

Our 8th grade students participated in Step Up Day at BHP. Students toured the school and learned about different classes and programs that are offered to rising 9th graders. Only 36 more school days until they are officially BHP Bears!




Congratulations to our eighth grade South Carolina Junior Scholars. The purpose of the Junior Scholar program is to identify and recognize students that possess exceptional academic talent. These students scored 550 or higher on the reading/writing sub test of the PSAT or 530 or higher on the math sub test of the PSAT.


Ben Woody's Manufacturing Class used a Plasma Cutting Board and software to design, customize, and cut blades for farm tools. Thank you, Anna, for letting us watch your design come to fruition.


DEVCOM Commander MG Miles Brown visited his alma mater, BHP, to speak to our ROTC students about career opportunities in the Army. He also shared his inspiring story of military service. Thank you General Brown!


This week is National Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, and we just happen to have the absolute best assistant principals right here in ASD2!


An opportunity to learn of local resources and receive free food! The Resource Roundabout is sponsored by United Way of Anderson County and the food distribution is sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank.


Anderson School District Two is seeking quotes from qualified vendors to screen, clean, and apply two coats of Bona Al Court to wooden floors in three gyms. The three gyms total 26,840 square feet. Vendor will need to verify measurements. Work may begin June 5, 2023 and must be completed by July 14, 2023. Please contact Alan Walfield at rawalfield@asd2.org for questions. Every nine weeks, Belton Elementary School celebrates students who have had good behavior by earning 80% or higher on Class Dojo for the quarter. These students participate in fun activities such as a Corn Hole Tournament, Glow in the Dark Dance, and a Bouncy House (Inflatables) day. For this quarter’s celebration, students participated in a dodgeball tournament. They had a blast, and the weather was beautiful!
